HOW THIS BOOK CAME TO LIFE

In 2024, while I was in the remote paradise of Raja Ampat, Papua, I received an email that changed everything—an offer from Page Street Publishing to create my very own tutorial book, distributed by Macmillan. It was a dream come true. After teaching watercolor painting both online and in person for the past seven years, I finally had the chance to bring this knowledge to everyone in a beautiful, lasting format. This book is a reflection of my deep love for nature, travel, and watercolor. If you share those passions, you're in for a treat! It's an artistic odyssey across all seven continents, where you'll learn to paint 39 natural subjects—from animals and birds to plants, flowers, mushrooms, and insects—while also discovering fascinating facts about each one. Before we dive in, I guide you through the tools, materials, and foundational techniques, so even complete beginners can follow along with ease.

HERE'S WHAT'S INSIDE:

  • 39 step-by-step tutorials on different natural subjects

  • Learn how to paint animals, botanicals, birds, mushrooms, flowers, and insects

  • Step-by-step drawing and painting instructions

  • Ready-to-transfer drawings included
  • Color swatches included

  • Learn essential watercolor techniques and principles

  • Perfect for all skill levels

  • Guidance on how to go beyond tutorials and develop your own style

  • All who preorder the book will receive a bonus tutorial!

HERE'S HOW IT ALL STARTED

I grew up wild in the forests of the Ural Mountains, learning about plants, mushrooms, and falling in love with nature. Art was always part of my life, leading me to five years of study at the Art Academy. But instead of pursuing a creative career, I earned a Master’s in Art Management and worked at an art gallery in Paris. Then life took a turn—I moved to a small village in southern Italy with my husband. No job, no clear direction. But it became the moment I chose to return to art, this time with purpose and passion.

In 2017, I picked up my brushes again, focused on nature, and started sharing my work. Slowly, it grew: I built a following, exhibited across Europe, illustrated books, taught online, and supported thousands of creatives. This book is the heart of that journey—filled with everything I’ve learned about realistic watercolor painting, nature, and creativity.
